CPS/CardMaker Sponsor: Paper House Productions

Time to meet yet another great CPS/CardMaker sketch contest sponsor! This time we are hearing from designer Christine Traversa who had some wonderful things to say about the sponsor Paper House Productions who has generously donated a $50 prize pack for one lucky winner!

I am such a fan of Paper House Productions products!
And, it's not just because I used to be on their wonderful design team, under the direction of the super sweet and talented Wendy Malichio!
Paper House Productions has such a wide range of products under their company umbrella. You've got to check them all out! Seriously! Go to right now! Besides their super website, you can also check out their fantastic blog at:
I have an addiction to their twill products! They are so, so creative. They have a blank twill sticker that you can run through your printer! It's big, and you can cut it to the size you need. Now that's an innovative product!
I am also a sucker for their cat themed products. And their impressions line is gorgeous also. Their stationery line is so totally fun as well!
Lovely products from lovely people. That is how I'd sum up Paper House Productions. Check 'em out!

Be watching throughout the week to find out more of the great prizes you could win in the CPS/Cardmaker Magazine sketch contest. And, don't forget to get those entries in! Less than one week left!

Our readers:

Hello. Just a friendly reminder, when you post your card links in the comments section, please put the address directly in your post (starting with http) so that I can copy and paste the links and add them here. Deanne, I was unable to click on your name to get your web address. (we would love to see your take on the sketch, so please repost a link) I am hoping that participation will increase and if it does, this will make my job much easier. Thank you for understanding.

*Reminder* one week left to enter the CardMaker Contest...good luck everyone!

Hope you all have a gorgeous fall weekend :)

Meet Gina K!

Time to meet another one of our great sponsors!! Today I would like to introduce you to Gina K Designs. Gina has donated a great set of DVDs that one of the lucky card maker's will receive for their CPS/CardMaker contest entry!

Here is what designer Keri Sereika had to say about Gina K Designs:

Gina K Designs, having just noted it's one year anniversary in the industry, is a fairly new company...and while it may be new to the biz it has made great strides towards making a difference in the industry. Gina K Designs stamps come as deeply etched red rubber in wood mounted as well as unmounted stamps and is well known for it's whimsical images and quick witted sentiments, as well as for it's HUGE HEART and support of worthy charities. In just their first year since opening up shop, Gina K Designs has two stamp sets now in their line, Stamps for a Cause, specifically designed to help raise money for charity. Their first set called "Love You To Pieces" supports continued research into understanding and working with the effects of Autism, through supporting the Autism Speaks Organization. Gina K Designs newest Stamps for a Cause set, "Make a Wish" supports the Children's Make A Wish Foundation. Thousands of dollars have been donated to each organization and the word is Gina is already dreaming up the next set in the Stamps for a Cause line! Gina K Designs has made it a point to not only "make a good impression" but to make the impression a lasting one. Please take some time to check out Gina K Designs website to see for yourself how you can support some deserving charities all while adding to your stamp collection!

hello everyone.

Monday, September 24, 2007

Prizes??? Oh, yeah!!

The contest entries are rolling in and looking great. So, I thought it was time I got busy and told you more about the other contest sponsors and what you could win!

Today's sponsor is Cornish Heritage Farms. I'm sure some of you saw the the fun we had a few weeks ago with Cornish Heritage Farms backgrounders. Plus, they just released eight more designs last week. I am also very excited to share that those were designed by CPS designer Lisa Strahl! You can check out the Cornish Heritage Farms store to see all of the images. Great job Lisa!

As one of our CPS/Cardmaker prizes, Cornish Heritage Farms has donated a very generous $50 gift certificate for your choice of Cornish Heritage Farms stamps. So get those contest cards in and start making your wishlist!

I asked designer Keri Sereika to tell everyone her thoughts on Cornish Heritage Farms and this is what she had to say:

I received my first CHF stamps just over six months ago...When I received the stamps and saw how nicely they stamped, I was hooked! Whether I am working with Cornish Heritage Farms wood mounted stamps or their unmounted stamps I always know I will get a nice crisp impression. I was made a part of the DT shortly after that and it has been a wonderful experience for me. Knowing that my hard work is going into supporting a great product makes me want to always do my best work for CHF. And since I was a customer first, I can attest to their wonderful attitude toward customer service. If you have not had the chance to use their product or visit their forums yet be sure to hop on over, you will not be disappointed. The customer is always # 1 at CHF as is their commitment to quality!

Be sure and check out the Cornish Heritage Farms and tell them thank you for their generous donation! Check back soon for more card ideas and contest information!

Celebrate with Me!!!!!!!

If you read my personal blog, you may have read this post yesterday where I tried to deal with the fact that the new card sketch book wasn't going to be out for another year. Well, today, I am having a celebration!!! It seems that the new CardMaker's Sketchbook is not only going to be published in September 2007, but it is available NOW!!!!!!

If you click on the cover image below it will take you to the Annie's Attic site where it is available. I was told there will only a limited number of copies being sold at this time so I am really hoping for a fast sell out. If you go to the site, you can also see some sample cards from the book if you click on "see more photos" there. Like I said before not only does it have 45 sketches by me but there are also cards in there from several of the CPS designers.

I'd LOVE to hear what you think!!

CPS Contest Sponsor--Cardmaker Magazine

Our first contest sponsor is CardMaker magazine. If you aren't familiar with the publication now is the time to find out more. All you have to do is go to the web page and scroll down to the bottom and you can sign up for a free trial issue.

Cardmaker is available 6 times a year has a variety of well showcased card ideas (with instructions) for all occasions. Their regular columns include everything from birthdays to off beat holidays to cards that include a gift. Each issue also features at least one technique article. There are even two pages of greeting ideas that you can copy and add to your cards. And, starting with the current issue, you will also see a new sketchbook column which features a card sketch (several by me) and some card ideas to go with it. If you look carefully you will also notice cards in CardMaker are designed by several of the CPS designers and readers! It might even be *your* name that you see there. All you have to do is enter the CPS/CardMaker sketch contest for your chance to be published as well. If your card is chosen you will see your name right there on the pages of CardMaker *and* get a 1 year subscription to the magazine! How cool is that!?

I want to personally extend a heartfelt thanks to the editors at CardMaker magazine for being a part of the fun here at CPS.

Be sure and drop them a line to say thanks and let them know what you think!

Contest Update

It seems there was some confusion about the date on the previous post with the contest info. I had the date of October 12 in order to keep the post at the top of the page to be easily found. In order to avoid further confusion I moved it to the top of the page. But, you will no longer be able to leave comments with it. So, if you have any questions/comments please use this thread. Thanks :)

Also, another update. You might also notice the info has been removed about the new CardMaker's Sketchbook which features 45 of my sketches and over 220 card ideas from various designers. That book was supposed to be released on September 25. Unfortunately, the publisher has decided not to release the book to the public until September of next year (2008). So, I guess we won't be celebrating that for a while.

Thanks for all of your support and feedback. I'm looking forward to seeing your contest entries.

Well, I had this brilliant (no so much) idea that I needed to do a system recovery on my computer today. With 3 1/2 years of "stuff" it was getting pretty crowded in there and seemed to be slowing down (the dust alone was enough to do that). So, 32 CDs of backup info and 6 hours later it was ready to go. Then another 4 1/2 hours and windows and mcafee were updated...*sigh* But now, (I think) systems are up and running. watching for another update with some more of those great My Favorite Things Shower Time stamps tomorrow! There are some cards coming up you WON'T want to miss!! I was hoping to get to it tonight but had to move to the laptop so hubby could sleep ;).

One other quick note, I have been getting my email from the blog through outlook...well, today I needed to check it and since I wiped out Outlook I had to go to the site. What a surprise to find my spam box had over 300 emails in it!! I caught a few that were comments from the blog but I am afraid I may have missed some that were deleted. SO, if you emailed me in the past and did not get a response PLEASE email me again. I am doing away with outlook so I can keep better tabs on things. I am one to always send at least a short acknowledgement to emails I get (unless you are trying to sell me viagra or diet pills). So, if you didn't get a reply I am not ignoring you, I probably just didn't get it.

Also, be waching new week for the next BIG contest. This will be another chace to get your card published and win some great prizes. We have some AMAZING sponsors and prizes lined up and keep adding more all the time so you won't want to miss it!

More tomorrow!
