Supplies Needed:
Stamps: Birdie Stamp Set - Inque Boutique
***Cardstock: Iced Teal, Tawny Med & Suede Brown Dark Prismatics - Prism
Ink: Toffee Versafine - Tsukineko
Ribbon & Brads - Creative Impressions
***Scor-Pal for scoring
Tools: Eyelet Lace Embossing Border Punch, Paper Trimmer, Paper Crimper - Fiskars

Step One: Begin with a piece of Iced Teal cardstock cut 6 x 12 inches. Score at 4.25, 5.25, 6.25 & 11.25

Step Two: Place the small black piece of foam that comes in your stamp set under your project to provide the necessary padding to get a perfect impression every time! I usually would place the foam on my work surface, then my scratch paper over top of it and then my project but I wanted to be able to show you how to use it here....
(Note: Inque also sells this material in a large sheet for using on a regular basis and has a wonderful video demonstration of how to use this "secret weapon" here. )

Step Three: Stamp randomly on the two larger panels of the scored cardstock.

Step Four: Fold your cardstock so that you have a valley/mountain fold at the bottom and a flap at the top.

Step Five: Place the folded rectangle back into your Scor-Pal and make a small score mark at one and five inches...just a tiny little notch..not a line..this is just to make a mark one inch in from either edge.

Step Six: Place your small score mark on the cutting edge of your trimmer and line up the the bottom corner and cut. You will now have a trapezoid or quadrilateral purse shape. :) (see that geometry we all slaved over does come in handy later on in life!!!) Set the purse part aside for now.

Step Seven: Cut a panel of contrasting cardstock (Tawny Med) and use the Eyelet Embossing Border Punch to create a pretty edge. (the panel of cardstock should be atleast three inches wide and as long or longer than six inches....you will trim it later so the actual size doesn't really matter...can you say SCRAP PILE????

Step Eight: Score .5 inches from the straight edge and adhere to the back of the purse. Adhere the front to the top flap of the purse.

Step Nine: Crimp a .5 inch of another contrasting paper (Suede Brown Dark) and then adhere to the top edge of the purse using two brads, repeat on the other side.

Step Ten: Tie a nice bit of silk ribbon around the right side of the handle to finish your project!
Finished Project!
There you have it!!! Please let us know if you try this out this week! And if you do, we will have a special "Pretty Purse Links List" on Saturday!!! :)
