CPS 5th Anniversary Day 1 with Tami Mayberry and CardMaker Magazine

Welcome to Day 1 of the CPS 5th Anniversary Celebration.

Hello CPS friends!! Tami here. I am so happy you stopped by for the beginning of our five year anniversary.

Some of you have been with us since CPS started way back in February of 2007, including some of the designers you will meet over the next 15 days! Others are new to the site. Upon celebrating our one year anniversary I explained exactly where the title CPS came from. If you're curious to know you can find out all the details in this post.

Throughout the next 15 days you will be introduced to each member of the current CPS design team. Today, I will introduce myself since I've asked everyone else to do it and I can't easily get out of it ;).

CPS has been a big part of what I do over the past 5 years and contributed to meeting some of the greatest designers, companies and of course, card makers around. In addition to creating sketches for CPS and scheduling sponsors and such I am and writer and designer for CardMaker magazine/DRG publishers, CardMaker blog team member, Designer/Illustrator for Gina K Designs, Design Team Lead / Social Media for Scor-pal, Designer for The Stamps of Life, ARTisan and Product Education Specialist for Shinhan Art Materials and Momenta D-Lite team member.

You can see more of my work and keep up with what I am up to in a few different places:

My Blog
Facebook
Pinterest
Twitter

I'd love for you to stop by and say hello and give me a chance to get to know you better!

For today’s sketch I chose CPS #136

When I picked this sketch I hadn't looked back at the past posts using it. Ironically, when I went back to find the original sketch I found that it was sponsored by Gina K Designs! The same brand of stamps I used for my 5th anniversary card! Not only that, it was the sketch that contained cards with the very first stamp set I created for GKD!

Weird, huh?

Here is the card I created with this same sketch in 2007:

If you would like to see the past ideas using this sketch you can find them here:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

And here is my card for the anniversary celebration.
Featuring a sneak peek stamps from my new set, Girl Talk, that will be available on Tuesday evening along with my other stamps at Gina K Designs.

Supplies:
Stamps: Gina K Designs (Girl Talk-available Tuesday 1/31/12)
Patterned papers: Cosmo Cricket
Markers: Shinhan Touch Twin
Dies: Spellbinders

This anniversary kick off sketch is being sponsored by CardMaker Magazine.

In addition to the magazine site you can also visit the Cardmaker Fan Page and CardMaker blog

To be entered for a chance to win the anniversary prize from CardMaker Magazine simply post a direct link to your newly created card using this sketch (#136) in the Mr Linky section at the end of this post. (Cards not created specifically for the anniversary celebration will be disqualified). Each sponsor will be sponsoring two days of sketches so that’s at least two chances to win!

Now, of course you won’t want to stop with just this one sketch! Sketches will be posted on the CPS blog from Sunday January 29 thru Sunday February 12 for a total of 15 sketches. All readers who complete all 15 sketches featured throughout our Anniversary celebration will also be entered into the grand prize drawing! This prize pack includes a prize from all of our CPS Anniversary sponsors (listed below)

Deadline for entry in both the individual and grand prize drawings is midnight Saturday February 18. Winners will be verified and be announced on Friday February 24, 2012 on both the blog and CPS Fan page on Facebook.

The last five years you guys have released such awesome templates for us to enjoy. I remember using one of your templates to print out a card for my mom for mother's day. She loved it.
